Description Tech Specs Sizing Chart
  • Lightest Down Vest at 4.3 ounces!
  • 900 Fill Power Goose Down
  • Extremely Warm for its Weight
  • Luxuriously Soft
  • Extremely Compressible
Lighter than a cotton t-shirt but very warm, the Montbell Ex Light Down Vest has a phenomenal warmth to weight ratio. This is the lightest down vest that we know of.

The ultimate in minimalist design, this vest is the perfect replacement for heavier and more bulky vests. The silky 7-denier shell has a very soft feel, but is more than durable enough to withstand the rigors of normal use for an insulated inner piece.

Highest quality 900 fill power hypoallergenic goose down provides warmth without weight. The shell is made out of 7-denier Ballistic Airlight ripstop nylon that is incredibly soft, light and highly wind resistant. Full length coil zipper seal out cold air. Single-quilt construction reduces weight.

This vest is so light you will not have an excuse to leave warm insulation behind. Ideal for backpacking, hiking, mountain climbing, travel, etc.

*This fabric will NOT fare well if exposed to sharp objects, high abrasion situations, or the occasional campfire spark. Going ultralight does come with some trade offs.
